TERMS & CONDITIONS

Refurbished floors

Payments:

  • All payments are to be made to Whittle-Woods Ltd. Please note that we do not accept credit or debit card payments
  • The client pays a deposit of 20% to confirm the order and to set a starting date.
  • A further 70% to be paid after arrival on site and work has commenced.
  • The outstanding balance is to be paid as soon as the refurbishment is completed.
  • Value Added Tax will be added to all invoices at the current tax rates.
  • Whittle-woods reserves the right to firstly advise and then charge all additional, extra time and materials required for circumstances found  beyond our control or previous knowledge
    eg: previously stained floors and underneath fitted carpets.

Cancellations:

All orders are subject to written confirmation.  NO cancellation or refund of orders can be accepted in respect of the following

  • Specially ordered materials
  • Materials already dispatched to us.
  • Materials already ordered and paid for.

Deposits may be refunded in full if more than 3 weeks notice is given.

Your responsibility:

  • To ensuring that the rooms to be refurbished are totally clear of ALL furniture and existing floor coverings. Whittle Woods Ltd can offer to do this for clients for an additional charge; please ask for a quotation.

  • Old carpets, underlay etc should be rolled up and if you require, Whittle Woods can dispose of this waste for a nominal charge, please ask for quotation.

Whittle-Woods:

  • Whittle-Woods will guarantee their workmanship for up to a year. Should you have any problems during this period we will be happy to assist.
  • The company is not responsible for variations in colour or grain of wood floors, especially with introduced reclaimed timber, and previous staining. When replacing individual boards or parquet blocks, there will probably be a difference in colour, grain and character for which we cannot be held responsible.
  • The company cannot be held responsible for any scratches or defects in the wood floor from animals, movement of furniture, and general wear and tear after the renovation is completed: some blocks may become loose some time after the renovation and some filler may become dislodged, and these occurrences, though rare, cannot be our responsibility.
  • The company cannot be held responsible for delays beyond our control or due to unforeseen circumstances, for example: parquet blocks becoming loose after sanding machines have been used. (this is common in blocks glued down with bitumen which become brittle with age and the vibration of the sanding machines can dislodge weakly bonded blocks; additional costs may occur from this.)
  • Waste created by our works shall be bagged up and disposed of by ourselves.2013
